Not something you typically want to hear from your wife...Just saying. My wife smiles and points when we see an older Ranger.
She remarks, " It's so small and cute !!! "

Looks like a 2011 or close with the high brake light, Ford emblem in tailgate, and taillights. That's the beauty of the new Ranger. It has a small footprint on the road compared to the F-150 but it can fit 4 x 8 sheets into the bed just the old F-150's could.
It has definitely grown up.
I bought one in '97 when Ford changed over the body style from the old square style. It was a regular cab short bed and they stayed the same for several years. My Ranger seems about that same size as that one was. I'm afraid they will get bigger and bigger as the years go by. Just look at the F150 now, it's huge!To me the Ranger is now the perfect size and they say it is the size of the 2008 F - 150 . Will it continue to grow as years go by ?
This is what you want to hear from your wife....just sayin...lol.... it's huge!
Not when you are in your 70s as is likely your prostate....sighThis is what you want to hear from your wife....just sayin...lol
"Mid-sized trucks" aren't what they used to be....I parked my 2020 XLT/FX4 next to an earlier Ranger Model (who can tell me the year?) The sun was in an awful position so not the greatest photos but you get the idea!
Love my new Ranger!

Hey, there is a guy in my development that has an older model F-150 (not sure which year), and, I have not talked to him or done any measurements, but just based on driving by every day, I swear my 2019 Ranger is as least as big as that thing. (And the newer F-150s are about as big as my house!)I had an 89, a 95, an 03, and an 03 Sport Trac. I was amazed at how much bigger the 03 felt vs. the 89. If it were up to me I'd have something closer to the 03 Sport Trac, only with a slightly longer bed. 4x8 sheets of plywood fit fine with a bed extender.
