The Mustang is still being listed on the Ford website in GT, R-Spec, and Mach 1 trims! Is there hope the Coyote is sticking around?

Specifically there was an effort, now cancelled, to put the coyote 5.0 from the Mustang into a Ranger. That is what we’re lamenting.

Well, yes and no. Initial plans were for a limited run.

It was planned to go ahead earlier this year just before Covid took off. Normal production RHD Ranger Raptors were going to be sent to a Ford special vehicles secondary manufacturer here, where the 2.0 litre bi-turbo diesel would be removed and a crate Coyote V8 installed.
They would be then returned to the Ford dealerships and sold as a full factory model with full factory warranty.

If they proved popular then Ford planned to make the arrangement permanent, and even perhaps do some of it in house.

A similar arrangement exists here with the former Holden special vehicles plant, who used to produce racing and sports version Holden Commodores for GM Holden.
Since the demise of GM here in Australia, they now re-manufacture RHD Ram trucks for Fiat Chrysler Jeep. These trucks then sell through Chrysler Jeep dealers as factory RHD trucks and are in fact quite popular, albeit expensive.
