Trying hard not to go overboard...really hard to keep from trying to keep up with some of you! Who knew there were so many things I would "need" for my new truck.

Just put in my Weathertech front floor liners and liked them so well I bought the set for the rear floor. This is significant only because I had them in my 07 Explorer and wasn't nearly as satisfied with them as I had hoped. But these have a different feel to them (less slick, more grippy). Also bought the window shades for front and rear. Really hoping I like them too.

Gonna let the dust settle a little and then order the tailgate damper so I can also join the Cool Kids Club!
Welcome to the club!! As long as you're on here you'll keep finding things you never knew you needed. lol

Not sure if you saw this already but here's where you can get one and use code WELCOME at checkout for free shipping.

Drove to work and paid a crackhead named Winston $10 to wash it. Even gave him clean water. Shadow Black looks so good clean.

This is probably the reason why the Ranger doesn't come with the tailgate damper. It gives us the NEED to have one. :p

So, I have a question. I keep hearing people say that they installed a tailgate damper so when their hands were full it wouldn't slam down. Well, if you hands were full how did you open it in the first place?

One finger and let it drop.

I am not buying that at all. Oh, and I am pro tailgate damper.
Well I've been doing it for many years. The last 2 trucks I've owned had a damper and when my hands are full at work I lift the latch with one finger and let it fly. I'm in/out of the bed of my truck 4-5 times a day so unless you have one you can't say that it doesn't work. It's not because the tailgate is heavy (it's not) it's convenience just like power windows or a remote start.

Hi Folks,

My Ranger hauled my tools, my buddy's workmate and a bunch of plumbing parts. My plumbing nightmare, we had a repeat. Several trips to the hardware store for vanity install, Med cabinet install, Mirror install and new electrical addition of a three lamp fixture over the mirror. Plumbing was done before the top was installed on the vanity. Install after the top installed when smoothly. No leaks! Successs!. My poor Ranger baked in the 109° temps...Cab was so hot I could not even touch the steering wheel...Way too hot! I should have used my windshield blocking but the sun was behind me. Cripe...I hate when this happens!

Anyway. Vanity in, plumbing installed, Med Cabinet installed, Light fixture installed and mirror installed. My tired old bones ache and it is time for a Scotch on the Rocks!

Best,
