Wet Okole's are pricey, but well worth it, especially if your truck has fabric upholstery. Attached is an image of my '00 SuperCab's interior of which I installed a set when I bought the truck new. After 20 years of use (and countless Starbucks cups of coffee) the covers were nasty, tossed them before I sold the truck last December.

OUCH! looking at those old rear jump seats is giving me a back ache...I remember stuffing a couple of my friends back there on a 2-hr trip to a ski mountain...haven't talked to me since then...
Though, I didn't have the suicide doors on my supercab, so it really was like stuffing sausage to get them in there

Hi Folks

I spent a bit if time on the lathe today to turn down the valve stem collars that were too long. They now fit around the elongated stem and allow a metal valve stem cap.

When my '00 was new, I rode in the right jump seat for a couple of hours while a friend was driving it in central Oregon, I vowed never to do it again.
Until, last December when the guy who bought it was driving it and I had to occupy that blasted seat again, talk about deja 'vu...lol

Did the muffler delete yesterday.

Still too soon to determine if there's a performance benefit.

Definitely a bit louder but not too obnoxious.

After it gets subjected to the unknowing Wife test (She doesn't know I had it modified. Take her for a ride and see if she comments on the noise) will determine if it gets a Magnaflow or not.

Yep! That is the one. Thanks! I can't see close up very well with the cataract surgery and missed that little detail...See the ophthalmologist today and will be discussing options for improving close up vision. Think a trifocal with out any magnification for distance is what I will need but we will see what tricks she has in her Doctor's bag...

Best of luck with your appointment. They tell me mine are not bad enough yet for insurance to pay for surgery. In a tight spot like that it is always a challenge to find the right lens, bifocal, regular, no glasses , too close, too far. My mother always said getting older is not for the faint of heart. I am beginning to understand. But I am always thankful to wake up on the right side of the dirt.

In the "dark" days before my PV system, my electricity bill would average $350-500 during the summer months because of AC usage, 3 window units (incredibly inefficient) and 1 split system. Mind you, this was with solar water heating...
I've since got ridden of the 3 window units and went with 2 additional split systems instead, all are 240 VAC units. I'll run all 3 splits during the summer and yet my PV system still feeds energy back to the grid.
The Holidays are a different story, with entertaining, cooking and such, Thanksgiving Day has been a family tradition here at the family residence for nearly 75 years, it's not uncommon to have 75-100 family members and friends here for dinner. My November's electricity bill was close to $150.
Family get togethers are a big thing in Hawaii...I would not have it anyway else.

Got the Script I needed for a couple pair of glasses with various strategies, but the followup refraction was such a bust the tech gave up as I could not see squat I was only able to see the Big E and every "which is better...1 or 2?" it got worst. So then placed in a chair for the ophthalmologist. Got the lenses checked, retina verified intact...the the discussion of what went wrong with the refraction. She was totally baffled...she has done thousands of cataract surgeries and she had never seen anything close to what I experienced. She said that the things that would cause this inability to refract all proved negative in my case... Her only good news is I am now seeing 20/25 for distance for the first time in my life! I check back in 8 months or if something goes south...call and she will see me immediately.

Phil, so sorry to hear about your vision test. I recently had my 2nd PVD, and both came through with no detached retinas. The doctor says maybe in about 5yrs I could have cataract surgery but I don’t have to. I sure hope you get your vision back for close up.

I know what your going through now Phil,I have had 8 eye surgeries over the years and im now blind in my right eye. My good eye will need cataract surgery in couple of years and im kind of hesitant about doing it cause mistakes can happen. I go to one of the top places in the country for eye issues, Wills Eye in Philly

Man, ain't that the truth!
In my young and dumb days as a mechanic, I used to tease the old timers when they complained about not seeing well, having a hard time working unders dashboards and getting off of creepers. Their response was "your day will come boy, everybody grows old" to which I would scoff and laugh them off.
Well, those days have arrived big time...to watch me get off a creeper is comical, let alone me taking my bifocals off to see up close.
As for under dash work, the days of acrobatics are long gone...
