A very good example of professional journalism, but the Lariat used for the photoshoot (the article is
dated Feb. 2019) appears to suffer from the seat cushion upholstery wrinkling issue.
I thought it was just late 2019 production to early 2020 Lariats that are experiencing this problem?
Unless, of course, the photoshoot was done later than the date of the article, but that's illogical.

Spot on review. I would never consider owning a full size truck at any price. I have bought Fords all my life, but if Ford hadn't brought back the Ranger, I would have changed to another brand.

Just found this was flipping through my Flipboard app.

I thought this was a very accurate review of the Ranger and would suggest if your looking around here thinking of buying check this out. This person understands truck’s.

I agree. Very well delivered message and unbiased reporting. From Canada, I have watched and read many reviews and first drives by driving.ca. I always thought that Jill was informative and professional. If I’m not mistaken on another brief but informative review she made; reported to have found the driveline to be a little bit jerky regarding shifting. Funny thing her well-rounded reviews did not stop me from going to look at the vehicle and buying it pretty much on the spot! And as of today I am receiving the truck back after two weeks in the shop. I did utilize an early build date (Feb 11, 2019) Service bulletin (TSB 2052) concern to rough shifting, hard down shifts etc. I’m interested to see if the PCM reprogramming helps the drivetrain smoothness. Would love to make my first post with my results and any conclusions I can make if there are any revelations. She did say it well to me indicating that the Ranger is purchased for the subjective good reasons of an individual, not all to do with size but definitely was a BIG factor as to why I moved from my 17 F150 to the Ranger. Miss the niceties of a full-size pick up and love the qualities of the Ranger and will live with some of the quirks of a smaller configuration. Thanks Charlie

I love the size of my Ranger and F150 was to big - I did do a build out of a similar F150 and also found that it cost about 14K more than my ranger.

There's pretty much no point in commenting on youtube because of it's default toxicity. That was an accurate review. Detractors thing that we should get an F-150 but just don't get that the ranger has a segment. For me it fits in the garage, is more maneuvarable, gets good mileage and looks amazing. Hopefully it will cost a bit less than an F-150 to maintain, even 15%. Perfect truck for me.

Does anyone know why all Canadian rangers are 4WD?

Dustin,
That's exactly why I bought a Ranger Lariat SuperCab over an F-150. It fits just right in my carport and can tow our trailer.
And after Ford incentives and the extra $1500 trade in cash I paid $29,500 + tax & lic just under 32k out the door here.
I challenge anyone to get an F-150 Lariat under 40k before tax & lic.

Because their roads suck and they have this stuff up there called snow and ice.

I am kidding. I have no clue but thought my guess would be funny.

Motor week on TV today had comparison of 4 mid size trucks(Taco didnt show up) Ranger came in second behind Ridgeline. They liked the torque of the 2.3 EB
True truck enthusiasts would never consider a unibody vehicle a truck, just sayin'.
