That's what I got rid of some of my others like .380. To close to a 9mm and really no advantage besides having another gun, which isn't such a bad thing. lol KISS.....Keep It Simple

I thought about reloading but ammo's been reasonable lately and it's not as cost effective as it was a few years back. Even then it was hard to find powder and primers so you're always on the hunt looking to stock up on stuff might as well just stock up on ammo now that it cheaper. I know some do it as a hobby but I really don't need another one right now.
My FIL got into reloading about 25 years ago and had a really nice set-up with progressive loader and the space needed to do it. But I don't think he did much with it then and still doesn't do much now. I never really considered reloading because I just don't get out and shoot as much as I'd like to. And yah, too many hobbies to be picking up new ones...lol

@SubVet I didn't want to highjack the other thread but if you were looking to get the ported Shield you can get one here for $399.99 with free shipping. I've bought several guns from Smokey Mountain and they're great to deal with and even have layaway with 20% down.

Nice... I am going to wait for the CCW to buy it. I am using a Taurus snub nose 38 for now.

Been reading the thread and feel so out of touch. I used to be so heavy into firearms then when I moved to Texas 21 years ago, I sold it all to afford the move.

Had a Magnum Research Baby Eagle 9mm, Bersa Thunder 9, Glock 19, Ruger .22 competition with slab side barrel, Daewoo DR200, Marlin 1894 44 Rem Mag, fully reloading setup. I've always been the guy that preferred the oddball guns. To this day, I still regret selling the DR200.

Current inventory is just my Ruger SR9 and my wife's SCCY CPX-1. I've put over 3000 rounds through the SCCY (2000 rounds without cleaning to test durability - FTF/FTE) and just over 1500 through the Ruger. I'm debating on getting the SCCY DVG-1 as an EDC.

Good thing is most are replaceable so you can always get back into it little by little. :) Once I met more people out here I started shooting a lot more than I even did back east. Now that I've build my collection up I won't make that same mistake twice. Unless you really need that extra money never sell your toys,it's hard to replace some and sometimes it's just the sentimental value.

I have a couple I regret selling too, thought I would really need the extra money when I fist moved out here and I had a friend who really wanted it. Mostly my S&W Performance Center 1911 in 9mm and although it wasn't anything all that special it was a super accurate guns and a lot of fun to shoot and it was my first 1911 (damn these are addictive). There were a few problems with some earlier models like FTE but mine ran flawless, probably more accurate than I was at times lol

Dang, a little time for the guess please.
Some of us have to work.
I could have got this one. I’ve got a 7600 in 270 and my brother has it in 30/06.
Mine kicks worse than my 700 in 308.
Bit it’s dead flat at 300 yards.

Any input on best mounts? I’m seeing these “keeper” magnets look like a good solution for in-home, will they work under steering wheel or seat ? Or is a holster mount the best option? I’m looking for a 22/45 MKIV Ruger , but will also be purchasing a CCW soon for the truck

I just installed a magnet mount in my Ranger. I didn't think I'd use it much as I'm always carrying anyways but it's really come in handy and I use it a lot now. There's a bunch more info here before we started this thread.
