Supressor #2 came in today, I ordered 4 last year and the tax stamp on this was cashed on 3/26/19. I have all mine through a trust which does take longer to process. Griffin Armament GP5 5.56 6.5" and 12.9oz.This is a direct thread only but the nice thing about it is there's no barrel restrictions which is hard to find in a can for only $495.00. I actually forgot about this and thought I was going to have to purchase a 10.5 upper for my AR pistol which is 8". Now I can put that money aside for the RIA .45 or another suppressor .lol

Man I'd love to get into suppressors but they're just too expensive...was hoping that secret "hearing protection" bill would get traction. Crazy thing is Europe has crazy restrictions on FA but zero on suppressors...

I had my pocketknife taken away on the London Eye because it was a lock blade, yet suppressors are wide open over there. How dumb is that? :headbang:

Great minds think alike!! :like: This is a really nice gun and for what you get you just can't beat the price!

It's going to be a tough choice for you between this one and the blue Ruger MKIV that matches your Ranger so well. lol Smokey Mountain Guns & Ammo does layaway too. 20% down and 90 days same as cash with free shipping. They make it WAY to easy!!! :curse:
Actually, the choice would be easy...I'd buy the .45 over anything else.

*makes note to self "Smokey Mountain Guns & Ammo"...checks bank account...hhhmmmm

Hopefully the bill can get through during the next term. ;)

I always wanted one and just like my Scorpion as soon as I shot my friends gun which was suppressed I wanted one! In .22 and 9mm they're hearing safe so it's really nice not to have a headset on especially here in the summer when it's blazing hot out. Add sub sonics and it's stupid quiet! Even with regular Federal Bulk pack .22 the action cycling is louder than the shot.

The actually price of the suppressors aren't to bad it's adding the $205.00 tax stamp to each one that makes it tough. If you do a trust do the unlimited trust as you can add any NFA item to it and have several different beneficiaries with it and it's a one time charge. You should look into getting just the .22 can,the Q El Camino is the lightest (4.3 oz) and was #370.00 here. My local dealer has since become a dealer for The Silencer Shop and I'm going over his house Wednesday to get some pricing on a few different suppressors. I'll ask him about the Q and see if he can do better than the $370.00 price. He didn't have his form 4 license last year when I got all these form a different dealer but now has it.

"Here, you can have any suppressor you want"
"What about the gun to go with it?"
"Sorry, those aren't allowed."

Lol...I really never understood who writes these laws! Back in MA we had an "approved gun list" which manufacturers had to submit each different gun to the AG for testing and approval. You could buy a S&W .22 with the wood grips because that was "approved" but the exact same gun with the polymer grips wasn't.:headbang: Same exact gun just different grips:question: Now the kicker is you can legally purchase the polymer grips and install them yourself but the dealer could not sell it that way!

Sounds a lot like the legislation they're pushing here.
Trying is the key word but they always forget about that little thing we have called the CONSTITUTION! Even if it goes through the Supreme Court will overturn it,just the hassle of going through it all!

If the legislation they want doesn't get approved, they just add loopholes and additional burden on the law-abiding gun owner. Ever hear of ammo tax? Seattle has .05 tax on every bullet sold inside the city limits (.02 on .22 ammo). It also included a $25 tax on every firearm sold in the city. But it's been backfiring on them as dealers picked up and left because it killed business. I'm sure the city doesn't care, but it's revenue they lost.

CT did the same thing a few years back, you now have to have a permit to buy ammo. I've been hearing about the ammo tax (per round) for some time now that's what I've been stocking up as much as possible and consolidated to just a few calibers. I think I have enough .22's to last a lifetime now, been getting them for around .03/round with the Federal Bulk Pack sale/ rebate lol. It's easier to stock up and cost less per round to shoot this way. :)

Yah, I stick to .22 and .45 as the primary calibers I shoot. Just too damned expensive to shoot half a dozen different calibers.

That's what I got rid of some of my others like .380. To close to a 9mm and really no advantage besides having another gun, which isn't such a bad thing. lol KISS.....Keep It Simple

I thought about reloading but ammo's been reasonable lately and it's not as cost effective as it was a few years back. Even then it was hard to find powder and primers so you're always on the hunt looking to stock up on stuff might as well just stock up on ammo now that it cheaper. I know some do it as a hobby but I really don't need another one right now.
