Love my Old Man Emu 1.7 leaf springs, but after 6 months, I know they are overkill for my needs.
Was able to fortunately (unfortunately for me now), to sell my original leaf springs and hardware, so now I would like to track some down.

Of course once installed, I will have a set of experienced OME 1.7 leaf springs with 15,000 miles on them for sale.

I am in SW Ohio. shipping is probably going to be way too costly.

Why are they overkill?

Why are they overkill?

1. the type of off roading / trails I will be doing in the future doesnt warrant this level of spring.
2. The increased tailgate height for eveyday use is a pain.

they served me well on my ten week adventure, supporting a bed full of gear, a rack and my RTT.

I assume that these perform better with a heavier load. Do you happen to know the ideal weight rating these springs should be under? I just picked up a set and have yet to install them. I will probably have a typical load of 400lbs in the back while traveling.

Have you considered Deaver Leaf Springs? The are engineered to handle better than the stock without carrying the additional load.

No, I have not looked into anything aftermarket as I was hoping to grab a very inexpensive set of take offs.

So this could be a "I drive to your house and give you a c-note, then we both proceed to get wrenches out and take spring A from your truck and swap it with spring A on my truck" and so on?

If so, where in SW Ohio are you at?

If you were closer I'd be willing to swap. Lol.
