Wiring day runners to aux 1

Hey guys!


I’ve got some day runners for my raptor that I want to run to aux switch 1.

The lights just run a normal red and black wiring and I’ve located where the 3 aux cables come out near the fuse box (green, blue, purple) but there’s no black to connect the black wire to from the day runners.

How does one go about wiring that?

(I’ve had someone say that the aux cables run power too, so you’d wire the coloured wire to the aux wire and then ground the black wire to chassis - but unsure if this is correct)

Hey Ryan,

Ours here in the States are a little different for colors so first you'll have to find out how many amps each color is. This should be in your owners manual or easily found online. Then see what the day runners are rated for, my guess would be 5A or 10A and you'll connect the red wire from your lights to that lead and the black you'll ground to the chassis.

They're very easy to do when they're already wired and relayed like this. I'm a novice at lighting and I just did my dual pod lights on my Tremor and they are connected to the #2 switch which is 15A. It's been over a month and they still work. lol

Thanks for getting that answered so quick.
I’m pretty sure on the Ranger Raptor the Aux1 is 10A and Aux2&3 are 15A.

On the Tremor, 1 is 25, 2 is 15, 3 is 10, 4 / 5 / 6 are 5 amp accordingly
