I'm trying to figure out the right combination of function, security and look for my new Ranger Supercrew.
I have reached the point of analysis paralysis.
Through endless searching I haven't been able to find confirmation whether this setup will physically fit and function fully.

Has anyone tried this setup?

This is my first post here and I'm thrilled to see such an active community around these trucks.

I am looking at the BAK Revolver X2. Similar cover. I would think the Revolver has more security and can support more weight on the top. Slightly cheaper too.

Thanks @Scooter
I saw the XTR1, and they seem great. Do you know if the rigid slated rollup style tonneau will work.
It looks like the vertical support angle in sharp enough that it may intrude into the path of the tonneau as you roll it back on top of itself?

I mainly researched the Thule/Yakima racks. The XTR1 looks like a great option. Comes in many different heights. When I get the 6G Ranger I would see if my old Softopper will fit under the 21" height. Then if I wish to run a future Tonneau cover I could cut it down. I chatted with the Manufacturer. They said I could cut the extrusions down. It will come off in one piece or you can disassemble it.

I think the XTR1 will work with most roll up covers. Since the XTR1 sits under the rails, you will have to make up the gap with some foam. Not a perfect solution, but at least you still have the maximum carrying capacity for the rack. The Thule, Yakima load rating is severely reduced with the T slot option.

The XTR1 group can answer any specific ?. They answer quickly.

I was considering the Bak Revolvers but I read a few to many quality and customer service issue reviews. My dad had a Bak flip on and F150 which held up really well for about 5 years, then fell to pieces quickly, so I really don’t know what to think.

I will check out the xtr1 thread. The research never stops. Thanks for your insights.

Yes, thanks for the insight.

More ideas. I just saw this on 5G. DECKED® Truck Bed Tool Boxes & Organizers and Cargo Van Storage System

I like this. I always wanted to have some Emergency Preparedness Gear in my truck for the Apacalypse. It Locks. The platform can support a lot of weight. With my old Ranger I normally do not use the full height of the Bed. Decker, Softopper and XTR1, May just use a standard tent on the top of the rack.

I contacted Front Runner about using the Truxedo Elevate rails for their bed rack/load bar setup. They confirmed it will work. I didn't get into weight/load ratings with them as it's hard to get a straight answer when dealing with products from two different companies. That's not either the fault of either company. They just don't' test each others products.
