Why no accessible winch mounts for Ranger

Getting ready to add a winch and both Westing and Warn discontinued their bolt on mounts for the Ranger. I'm not interested in a hidden winch mount, I like to be able to get at the winch if there is a problem of some sort and not have to pull the whole bumper or mount off. I was able to get the Warn center winch carrier plate and will have to fab up the mounts using their install instructions as a guide. Oy vey.

Snowsport still makes a hitch mount as I have it on my 21 Ranger. Its a mount as in the rear so I can install in front or rear depending on the need at the time. Here's a link to the Snowsport hitch:

I have the harbor freight winch mount and it all works great as I don't have to expose the winch to the elements till I need it.
Its $195 for a regular Ranger with tow hooks and $264 for the FX4 as I have. There are install video's on the site but the mount essentially attaches to the frame without moving any sensors or other parts.
I also previously purchased the snowsport plow which I used on my 01 Sport Trac.
