LOL...Ford should make a commercial taking an F150 and putting it in a 'special' truck compactor. After grinding, steaming, and banging they could open it up and drive the Ranger out....

Have seen the Ranger commercial a few times in the past 2-3 months. And yah, it's the one showing the truck doing "adventure" stuff. I think Ford is missing the boat by not touting the power-train features in this truck and just trying to sell it as the weekend toy. Nothing on its towing/payload capabilities like you see with EVERY F-150 add.

Leave it to Ford Marketing to miss the boat! Marketing cost me a lot of money in the day at Ford.

I did a Ranger vs the competition, besides the usual competors compact trucks, Marketing insisted I include a Suzuki X90, a weird looking car! no one drove it as it is not a truck. Ford brass asked me what I was thinking...I referred them to the Marketing rep

I've never seen a Ranger commercial on TV but I frequently see them on youtube. They always start with "Considering the -insert competitors mid-size truck here-, you should check out the all new Ford Ranger."

My 92 year old mother tells me almost daily that she sees Ranger ads on television here in Northwest Florida. I have never seen one personally, as i can hardly stand to be in the same room with a television on.

I guess some things never change. Any time I see the Ranger commercial (the few times I have seen it), I keep thinking (and have even yelled) "It tows more and hauls more than almost all of its competitors you idiots! And what about that gas mileage?! C'mon man!"

Yah, my wife just rolls her eyes at me.

Saw my first Ranger commercial last night around 11 PM on NBC4 Washington (DC).

Lots of muddy off-roading shots followed by a shined up truck and I think a “sophisticated “ message. Don’t quote me on that part though. By the time I realized it was the Ranger it was almost over.
