This came on my Alu-cab Khaya 7 blade connector. Well due to the lights on this thing being LED of course it has weird abnormalities in operation and I need to hardwire it in the rear truck lamps to bypass the trailer system to evade these problems. (something I am familiar with)

These don't even match euro-spec coloring. What in the world is the ground wire for starters? lol

By the way that wire is not white, its pink!

Using the pink wire as ground, apply 12 volts to each of the other wires, one at a time, to verify what lights are associated with each wire.

Yea finally figured it out. Ugh the only problem I think I can't fix is for some reason the turn signals (ambers) also work as brake lights. I believe they are hard-wired internally in the lights this way. Must be something to do with Euros.

I got everything else working fine, but that.

I thought perhaps was a grounding issue, but I've ruled that out, but it also did this when using the 7 blade trailer connector.

As a side note the reason I need to bypass the trailer system is because on newer trucks you sometimes get LED flicker or dash errors because of how a trailer pulse modulator works on new systems. You fix this by just hard tapping the lamps.

Can you go into more detail on this statement?

Alu-cab Khaya's are produced in Cape Town, South Africa. While Alu-Cab has an American market, their primary customers are non-American.

For whatever reason the amber portion of my tail lights on my camper work not only as turn signals, but also come on with brakes. To make you really scratch your head, the lights are smart enough to make sure the turn signal still works when the brakes are pressed, so the brake power is not overriding the signal function.

So right now I have them hard wired to the tail lamps (to avoid other oddities mentioned above).

I tested each connection before connecting the next. Once I finally connected the running lights/brake line, the turn signals started functioning as brakes.

I've done extensive 12v work over the years, this is the oddest thing I have encountered. It has to be some type of module or encoder built into the light itself is the only thing I can conclude. That or someone at factory really screwed something up haha

Can you contact the manufacturer and see what they say about this?

Actually ended up being pink wire for ground.

Pink = Ground
Orange = Left Turn
Green = Right Turn
Brown = Left Running
Black = Right Running
Purple = Brake
Blue = Reverse

It is odd they run two separate channels for running lights, but a single for brakes.
