Our factory exhausts are gonna last more than 5 years in the salt belt. Probably last longer than most people will own the truck, from new.

Phil. Did someone highjack your identity? But it is still funny.

Makes me think of these kids with their little rice burners and the big "fart can" pipes hanging out the back.

Hi Gregg,

Nope...not hijacked... Directed at a Taco Troll hiding here and I was having some shallow humor moments, I guess...

Best,
Phil

True. There used to be a muffler shop on every corner. Aluminized and stainless exhausts now last so much longer. So around here there are tire stores on every corner.

Back in the day mufflers, tires, brakes and tune ups were just a normal (and often) maintenance chore. Now they last so much longer.

Glad I didn't invest in points, rotor and distributor cap futures. :like:

I want to know how ya like the sound?
I like it! Could be louder but then again it's better than being too loud in my opinion.

It's almost silent when I'm cruising at highway speed, which is exactly what I wanted but that's just me. I like the tone and volume when I start up or when I really get on the gas but other than that it's a little too quiet.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I don't really have the space to store it but I am moving soon so maybe I can hold on to them a little longer and make something work. I do like the idea of selling it to someone up north in a few years but I'm not sure if it's worth the wait lol.

Stainless.. albeit a low grade stainless.. is pretty much the standard for exhausts these days.

Some manufacturers took longer to catch on than others.. but ford's been there awhile.

I got rid of my 2010 ranger last year, factory exhaust was excellent. My fiances 09 focus has its factory exhaust still.. I had an 07 crown vic who's exhaust was still perfectly fine when I replaced it with a full kooks setup when it turned 10 years old..

All in the thick of the salt belt.

Unless you want to wait a decade.. just ditch the thing.

If you have some claptrap project or racecar build going on.. mabey cannibalize the ranger exhausts for its bends or something.
