Sold my 2014 ram 1500 ecodiesel. I am hoping my new ranger is just as good without the anxiety of the engine grenading and xtra diesel maint.

Sold my 2014 CRV.
We are full time RVers and needed a vehicle that can flat tow behind the RV. The CRV does that well but we also have a collapsible golf cart that takes up too much space in the CRV.
The neutral tow display steered us towards the Ranger, especially that it displays the status on the screen. Haven't towed it yet still getting the tail light wiring figured out.

It was an ultra-dependable truck, the only annoyance I had with it was the 15-16 mpg it gave me, but then it did have a 3.55 rear end. Coupled with a 4.0 OHV and 5 speed automatic, low-end grunt was impressive.
Response to my post on C/List was hectic, I sold it to the second party.
It had all of 94K miles on it.

Yeah, I was disappointed that it had no tach, even for an XLT, could be that it was an automatic, or Ford decided to go 'thrifty' and not include one.No tach with the XLT package? My 99’ had one with the 3.0 liter.
Even the pre-2000 models had the much safer amber rear turn signal lens separate from the tail/stop lite lens, a practice they abandoned in 2000.
Was your 3.0 a stick?

On a second note, when I special ordered this truck back in August 1999, I made it abundantly clear to the broker that I wanted the 4.0 and nothing else.
Turns out that Ford was in the process of transitioning all Ranger optional V6's from the 4.0 OHV to the OHC, boy am I glad I got the Cologne OHV considering the problems they had with the OHC.
As you know, the Cologne V6 was a 60-degree pushrod design and a torquey little engine, but, alas any engine speed above 4K resulted in needless thrashing of metal and little if any forward motion associated with throttle opening.
Still, it was fun at stoplight derbies.
I stand corrected, Ford did offer the 3. slow, err, I mean 3.0 V6 as well.
This engine was renown for duty as a boat anchor as well.
