It was an ultra-dependable truck, the only annoyance I had with it was the 15-16 mpg it gave me, but then it did have a 3.55 rear end. Coupled with a 4.0 OHV and 5 speed automatic, low-end grunt was impressive. And when adjusted for inflation, that’s a $32,234 truck...and people keep complaining that the new Rangers are too expensive...
No tach with the XLT package? My 99’ had one with the 3.0 liter. It was an ultra-dependable truck, the only annoyance I had with it was the 15-16 mpg it gave me, but then it did have a 3.55 rear end. Coupled with a 4.0 OHV and 5 speed automatic, low-end grunt was impressive.
Response to my post on C/List was hectic, I sold it to the second party.
It had all of 94K miles on it.

Yeah, I was disappointed that it had no tach, even for an XLT, could be that it was an automatic, or Ford decided to go 'thrifty' and not include one.No tach with the XLT package? My 99’ had one with the 3.0 liter.![]()
