Today is the National Day of recognizing our Vietnam service.

I am not too particular about it, but I know I (we) did what we did and I am not much on looking for "atta boys" But, I am not cheap on acknowledging other's who served there and sacrificed way more in all aspects.

Today recognizes VietNam Vet's, not just all vets who served.

A buddy of mine who also works for the Virginia War Memorial founded the Mindful Memorial Foundation after he came out of the service. For the past 10 years, they've been reciting names of the fallen from the War on Terror at Arlington (and now virtually as well) on Memorial Day.

Sorry, but I don't need a "special day" to remember.....been almost 55 years for me, and although I don't have PTSD, every time I see news clips of the war in Ukraine, or our troops becoming a target in Syria, or un-needed, violent protests here, it brings back memories.
Such a shame that after all these years, and now in the 21st century, we still cannot get along.
