want a mid-high cap but how much a pIA is the dual keyed non-remote handles on the leer 180?

looking to buy a cap for my 21 scab cactus grey. I have seen a pic of the cab-high, and they are ok, but i really like the mid-high caps. Only thing is, the leer 180 has 2 lockable handles and no remote option. how much of a pain is that?

i've seen the cab high, and that does come with the remote option in the 180xr.

thoughts?

I had a cap on my F250 that had two locking handles. It can be a pain to have to unlock them but I just got used to it. Also I didn't bother to lock it if there wasn't anything in the bed. I have a tonneau cover (Bakflip MX4) and I like having a dry bed. I've been thinking about getting a cab-high cap for mine.

I have the Leer 100R with 2 locks on my 19 ranger crewcab. it probably takes me as long to find the key on my key ring as it does to lock or unlock the cap. 1 key fits both locks. maybe 2 locks are better than one if some one were trying to break in, it takes twice as long, but then a real thief would just break a window. the 180xr is a nice cap but the price goes up with more options.

I topped my 2022 with an ARE in matching blue. While mine does have two manually locking handles, the top can be purchased with a single center locking handle. My truck has remote power locks and this also locks the tailgate. Even if your top isn't locked, you could put a lockable box in it for valuables if needed. Crawling up inside the back with the tailgate up and a cap on it is a time consuming PITA IMO! In my photo, the box in the back is not for valuables, just misc travel tools. It could be anchored and locked permanently if you wanted to I guess. I still have a Du-Ha locker from my F-150 but it takes up a LOT of space in the Ranger.
