How to play movies from usb stick - Lariat

Has anyone been able to play movies either from a usb stick or perhaps a connected phone? I have the Lariat with the tech package and upgraded audio system. So far I cannot find a way to play movies.

I'm curious what the native resolution is for our screens. It looks like maybe 800p at best.

I do not believe it's possible from the factory for "Safety" reasons.

Cool - please let us know how it goes. I'm interested in knowing what the native resolution is. I'm sure it is not 1080p so for movies to look good, we'll likely need to convert the media to match the resolution of the screen.

everywhere and anywhere you look, it's illegal and considered part of the distracted driving laws to view anything on a screen by the driver unless it falls into a specific category, like a GPS map.
go ahead and fill you boots on doing this, but be aware of the consequences. it's not just a ticket if you get caught. you could kill little johnny who ran out into the street to chase his soccer ball....hope the movie, 1080P or not, was worth it.

Thank you for the valuable civics lesson. People make poor choices regularly knowing something is illegal. I personally like to mod and hack for the fun of it not to actually do it and take unnecessary risk.
