My instrument panel was busted, so I replaced it with another one. My truck doesn't have BLISS but the new instrument cluster does. So, now, I have 2 issues. The blind spot fault and parking aid systems show errors when I start the truck and when I go to FORSCAN, I get an error saying the transmission is the wrong number.

Is there a place where I can get actual specific instructions on how to use FORSCAN to turn these options off and to update the transmission number?

First, where did you get your new instrument panel?

You probably needed to use Forscan to save the asbuilt file from the Instrument Panel Control module (IPC) before you removed it and load it into the new panel. Lacking that you can download your trucks asbuilt file from the Ford web site and use Forscan to edit the new one to match.

The second method is not the most fun as the file you get from Ford is not usable in Forscan and it includes the information for all your modules. It involves a lot of work digging the IPC information out and manually comparing and editing the HEX codes.

A third way would be to get the Forscan asbuilt file from a truck that matches yours and load that into yours.

This why it is always recommended that if you use Forscan. The first thing you do is to save backups of all your modules asbuilt files. This is so you can return them to stock if you need to. Our reload them to a changed component.

Good luck.

So, I tried to download the asbuilt file and write it. But it still gives me the errors for the Parking aid and the blind spot indicator issue. Can I rewrite the options in the instrument panel so it doesn't try to use these options?

What I don't understand is the body configuration didn't change, the only thing that changed was I used an instrument cluster from a truck with these options and my truck doesn't have those options.

how do I do this? I don't see IPC codes in the Forscan results.

I see now, I think I need a different cable to read the IPM.

I figured it out. It was the cable/connection setting. Can I delete this thread?
