64 days of ownership, and have only had the truck in my hands for just over 3 weeks. It's like I'm renting a bay at the dealership. The current situation is.... The new transmission was installed, now they are having starter issues. I'm waiting on ford Customer Care to call back. This truck does me no good if I can't drive it. I'm loosing money every single day the truck is not in my possession. On top of that I'm using up my PTO hours dealing with rentals (I start too early and quit too late for dealership hours) and I'm losing a ton of overtime. It's not worth it anymore!

Mine had an electric failure at 100 miles. Couldn’t get a loaner from the dealer and just had to rent myself. Had it less than a week. No ETA on repair so today , on the one week anniver of owning it, I opened a case with Ford Customer Care via Twitter.

From what I’m reading, I’m guessing between the COVID impacts, overseas shipping issues, and increasing costs from raw materials the lean manufacturing philosophy is cracking, and Ford is having to accept higher rates of component failures from suppliers.

Add in that many of the younger mechanics are comfortable with just mediocre work makes things harder.

My son’s car got hit by the Amazon truck. Took three trips to the body shop to get them to fix it right. Just half ass work. Heck, they forgot to tape the drivers door glass and try to scrape it off with a razor. National chain as well.

OH MY GOD! Still don't have my truck back. The dealership somehow bent my flywheel! WTF! Ford Customer Care still has not called me back. What do I do now? I'm at a loss.

chill dude.

maybe they didnt see the score the first time, im just saying they should take a closer look.
then they can repair that part if its damaged. it still doesnt require a new transmission.

sorry you got a bad seal, twice...but come on, you can calm yourself down. you have an issue with their three week service....doesnt mean the trucks a lemon, just that they are inept, or tied down with covid restrictions.
Chill is officially gone! Yours would be too if you were going through this.

This is google's response to Arizona Lemon law. I'd get the paperwork ready and start a case, and map out a path with Ford to keep the truck or one to get rid of it. Sounds like you're past the 30 day threshhold.

It's a last resort. The dealership has broken parts. Ford will claim that the original problem was fixed, but the dealership made mistakes. 3 case #s have been made with Ford. They closed out 2 thinking the truck was fixed. Ford was under the impression that the truck was still at the original dealership getting repaired (which I clearly stated multiple times that it was at a different dealership). So when they called, they were told the truck was completed...., So, the 3rd Case has been escalated (I've got this run around before). I'm hoping to hear back soon. I want a replacement. I bought this truck, because of everything it offers. In my opinion, nothing on the market compares to the Tremor. I don't want a FX4, I don't want a ZR2, I don't want a Tacoma. I want my truck!

Great news! After 2 transmissions, 2 starters, 2 flywheels 18 days at the first dealership and 30 days at the 2nd dealership, the truck is back in my possession! I am going to put some miles on her and see if everything holds. Lawyers were contacted and paperwork is being submitted. 50 days total out of service is unacceptable for a truck with under 2000 miles. But I'm glad to see it again.

It should easily qualify for lemon law or you could ask for compensation.

Well, I think everything is settled. I've put 1000 miles on it since I got it back. Truck is running great! I love driving this thing. I will definitely be purchasing an extended warranty for sure. But for now I'm happy. Time for camper shell, lights, and other crap I don't really need, but I want.
