Last week I was coming back from the MN duck opener. It was raining pretty good on the way home for probably 2 of the 4 hour drive. I was towing a lightweight trailer with a very lightweight kayak on the trailer. I was using the 7 pin connector.
I started getting warnings about the lights not working and I could see in my rear view mirrors that they were not working. I got error messages about the trailer module.
Thinking it was moisture somewhere Causing the issue, I didn’t think much about it. The lights would come on and go off.
Since this trip, I have towed 3 different boat trailers and am having the same issues. Seems to be mostly the left turn signal and it is random if the lights are working or not.
Any suggestions? Has to be truck related since it has happened on 4 different trailers. And the problem exists whether I use the 7 pin connector or the. 4 pin connector.
