I bought a Lighted hitch cover and I plugged it in and the notifications went crazy while I was driving. Say left/right turn signals were not working etc. Is there a way to completely turn them off? It drove me nuts and finally I gave up trying the settings and unplugged it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Your plugging something in that has no signals...turn/brake/running and thats what the puter is reading and why your getting signals . Truck is reading a plugin, but no circuits. Truck is doing what it's supposed to do, notifying you something is wrong with the trailer (which isn't there)
Best to just go un-lighted.

Agree. I'd suggest wiring it directly to the brake lights.
No I don't know which wires those are. There's probably a diagram of the 4-pin plug and if you use that try cutting the turn signal wires.
I have a Line Of Fire light bar that I plugged into the 4-pin plug with no issues other than the auto stop/start quit working because it thinks I have a trailer. Don't regard that as a bad thing.

Best thing is to leave it unplugged. Because on a trailer the brake lights use the same lights as the turn signals and the brake signal is what signals the truck a trailer is attached. Also if the truck senses a trailer it will turn off rear parking sensors and cross traffic sensing, also messes with blind spot sensing if you have it. Best to not plug anything into trailer connectors but a trailer.
