Trailer brake controller connector help

Hi,
I am installing red arc tow pro oem trailer brake controller. The connection with high mounted stop light is very difficult. For some reason the purple connector is not locking and I have mistakenly pushed the connected in thereby locking all pins now the purple wire can’t go in at all. Is there a way to release the connector so that I can again try pinning the purple wire. What could be the reason that the connector doesn’t fully latch. I tried many times but it’s not working.
Does anyone know the type/model for this connector in case I have to crimp new pins and use a new connector. Thanks.

The pin has a locking tab. See if it is sticking out slightly. If not, GENTLY pry it up with a small flat blade screwdriver. It should lock in the connector once you do this.

Great. Thanks very much. With a combination of prying and pushing the purple cable in, i managed to click it in place.
