Yes but requires a tool. Take it to Quicklane if your dealer has one.Getting a false TPMS reading on left rear tire. Can the TPMS be reset before I take

Swap it to the other side and see if it moves. If it does, it's probably just a TPMS battery, if it doesn't then it's worse. Either way you still take it in.Getting a false TPMS reading on left rear tire. Can the TPMS be reset before I take

I am having the same issue, but it is only the left rear. no matter what tire I put there it remains --Swap it to the other side and see if it moves. If it does, it's probably just a TPMS battery, if it doesn't then it's worse. Either way you still take it in.
So something has happened to the sensor that takes the reading from the tire sensor then. It shouldn’t be too much to replace it. If it’s still bad, then the issue is up in the wiring between that sensor and the computer or the computer is flaking out which isn’t likely.I am having the same issue, but it is only the left rear. no matter what tire I put there it remains --
I have the resetting tool and my mechanic has an even better tool and the left rear will not respond.
I just know I can take a tire that reads fine in one location. Move it to the left rear and when I reset it comes up --
Truck has 160,000 miles.
Exactly. Now to find that sensor. So something has happened to the sensor that takes the reading from the tire sensor then. It shouldn’t be too much to replace it. Thank you. Done this many times. The left rear continues to not register. I also have the tool that does this without letting the air out.You don't need a tool to reset the TPMS
1. Turn the key to the on position but do not start.
2. push the hazard button 3x then it will beep once and the dash menu will tell you to go to the left front tire.
3. let air out of tire till it beeps once then mover around the truck as it says on the dash menu.
4. After you do all 4 tires it will beep 2x and you are done.
Works on my 2021 Ranger.
Now they are the same as my tire pressure gauge.
Yes, you read that correctly. Can I reset those from the dashboard menus? If I understand correctly, no matter what tire / wheel that is in the LR position, you have no indication (X) or (-) on the TPMS display for that position.
The sensors transmit data via radio frequency to the RTM (Radio Transceiver Module)
The RTM transmits this data to the BCM and GWM.
So, you may try doing a BCM and RTM - Self Test (Reset) to see if it brings the reading back.
You will have to drive it to see if it helps (relearn) as the sensors require rotation to transmit (update)

My left rear was doing that also. Working, not working. Then finally stopped. Almost like a wire or plug disconnected. I was running my truck real hard on trails too. I stopped doing that though.Happens all the time with my right rear...comes and goes...I just ignore it...there's no leak or flat...just can't get signal once in a while...
Use Scanner or Forscan ?Yes, you read that correctly. Can I reset those from the dashboard menus?
Thank you for this information. It helps a lot.
