Hi, I just installed a BDS 6” lift. I had a 3 inch 2.5 Fox on there with 34 inch tires prior. 34’s Nitto Grappler’s are on there right now………… HATE THEM. Have them (38’s) on my wife’s Jeep also and all 10 tires ( 34’s & 38’s ) started cracking pretty bad at about 1 year old……….. I believe I am looking for 35” to 37” tire’s………. Any advice on brands and size? Thank you.

My 2nd set of Ridge grapplers I went with 285/75/17 and they were a little better then the 1st set, ride ok, But they ware like hell, I only have 20k on them and I notice (A LOT) of ware, I have a set of Bridgestone 285/75 ready to go on it sometime before winter

First of I’m biased towards Cooper Tires so know that from the get go lol. They are the only tires I’ve ran on any of my trucks for the last decade. Not saying they are the best by any means. The reason is they just work for me. Long life, good traction and no issues. I have been running the Rugged Treks for roughly 50,000 miles and they have been great. Just now started to get some noise to them. I probably have another 15,000 miles of life left in them. I live in an extremely flat area. Basically sea level. Which I’m sure helps with the wear. I also have only had them in 2in of snow 1 time for 2 days so I don’t know how they perform in snow. But for heavy rain, mud, towing for long distances and daily commuting they have been solid. Buying tires is always a nerve wracking event. Hopefully you find one that works well and most importantly you’re happy with!

As far as size, idk. As far as brand, I’ve been pretty happy with my Falken wildpeaks so far. They ride pretty quiet for an AT tire and they seem to handle pretty well in all types of terrain. Selling point for me was that they were the only 3 peak snow rated AT tire that wouldn’t break the bank. I have them on my Ranger and the wife’s as well.

I’ve had all sorts of tires on my trucks, Nittos, Goodyears, BFG’s, Hankook… These have performed the best by far. I guess it really depends on what type of driving you do and where you’re looking to get the best performance. I see a lot of gravel/sand in the summer and a lot of snow/ice in the winter. I rarely drive through mud so I can’t vouch for Wildpeaks in that regard.

Another endorsement for the Rugged Treks.

Mine have been great.

They replaced Falken Wildpeak AT3s and the Rugged Treks have been much better.
