I added the Thule roof rack with Aero Bars to my new Leer 100R shell order because I carry a 15' canoe and didn't want to put that load on a SuperCab roof.

Which width bars did you go with? I've been debating between the Thule and Yakima aero bars but haven't had a chance to determine which fit the width better.

I believe that they are 55" which is the same width on my Rabbit GTI

Thanks! The Yakima 50" seemed too short and 60s seemed too wide. Those Thules look just right!

Update: Just verified that my 100R will have 55" bars same as my car.
My dealer said they install 53" on Tacoma/Frontier shells, 55" on Ranger/Colorado shells and 60" on all full size shells as best fit.
But they also said that if a customer wants 60's on a Tacoma they'll do it no problem.

That looks great Joel - I'm a scab fan too! Was there any need to reinforce the cap on the interior to carry the load to the bed rails? I'm asking because I want to do something similar with my ARE canopy - I don't plan on heavy loads - just kayaks, latdders or bikes. ?
