You should see how people park when there are no lines as in a dirt lot. Sheeple are everywhere.

They give out handicap placards for being fat now a days.
true as obesity is now recognized as a disease by the cdc, and as a population in the US we have over 70m obese and over 90m overweight . My wife has worked with diabetics for decades - a good many are obese and her office recently had to order a scale which registers over 400lbs - a weight which she says is no longer uncommon. A few stats:

The prevalence of obesity was 42.4% in 2017~2018. [Read CDC National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) data brief]
From 1999–2000 through 2017–2018, the prevalence of obesity increased from 30.5% to 42.4%, and the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%. [Read CDC NCHS data brief]
Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer that are some of the leading causes of preventable, premature death. [Read guidelinesexternal icon]
The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the United States was $147 billion in 2008 US dollars; the medical cost for people who have obesity was $1,429 higher than those of normal weight

So was the miscreant driver in the pic obese and selfish ? If not both certainly one.

I got to get a front row seat for a few months to how this kinda crap is for folks with disabilities. Due to illness, I was in a wheelchair for a few months, a walker for a month or two more, and a shaky walker for a few months more than that. I probably would have been able to get a placard, but I never did because my illness prevented me from going anywhere with any frequency anyway.

But lord, it was a pain in the ass the way some stuff was designed, the "accommodations" that some places provided, and the way people just didn't GAF. The university's "disability services" was the worst.

My father is an amputee and on good days he's able to use his prosthetic and get around quite well. But sometimes his prosthetic fit needs to be adjusted because of contact sores, and he has to use his chair, which puts him severely at the mercy of this crap. I have a friend with spina bifida who has limited mobility and she gets absolutely furious about this kinda shit.

The truth is we all probably have had either personal experience with these kind of issues, or know someone personally that has to deal with it on an all-too-regular basis...and we all need to be absolutely furious about this kind of shit.

The guy in the truck may have a passenger who has a walker or something? We can't see if there's a "scooter or wheelchair rack" on the back. Unlikely he looks pretty far back and wouldn't back in anyway.
