Hello fellow 5gers! Didn’t like the giant red taillight on the white / black ext theme of my truck. After really great success with VHT Niteshades in the past (no fading or peeling despite not scuffing plastic lenses), came up with this concept as I didn’t want to blackout the lights either. Clear ones were masked in blue painters tape and trimmed along the factory lens seam. Red was accomplished using a custom vinyl label ordered from Avery. 4in x 3.5in rectangle that I lined up over the upper red lens area. 4 coats of Niteshades each did the trick. 1.5 hrs of labor. $25 in materials. Just wanted to share to provide ideas for those who might be pondering something like this.

Does look nice. I'll let the LEOs on here comment on the lack of a rear side marker reflector/light.
