The firmware in the head unit has to be the worst I have ever encountered.
Problems are most of the time calls will not complete.
I make the attempt but it does not go through. Comes back with either retry or Fix It.
The Contacts, constantly shows 2 of the same numbers for one person. I have 2 contact lists yahoo and Google.
There are no phone #'s in the yahoo contact list and I have it blocked for usage.

I have an AAwirless dongle for Android Auto and it works flawlessly.

I have been using Sync since 2013 and never had any issues like that. Have you done a master reset on the system? And, is the software up to date? The current version is 3.4.23188

I did several master resets. The app on my unit is 4.31.1-2021182USA.
I have tried re setting everything on my Android and the head unit. I still get failure to connect for calls and the contacts comes up with 2 numbers the same for many contacts.
Basically usually what happens in the I place a call get the message and the it dials and connects
The only other contact list is on my yahoo account and there are only email addresses in the list.
I have an AAwirless dongle that whe it is connected to Android Auto it works flawlessly. Problem is when its connected no access to Serius or Climate control without backing out of Android Auto.

Having a hard time understanding what you're saying your issue is. 4.31.1-2021182USA does not seem to be Sync-related. That sounds like an Android Auto version. Are you having issues with Sync or Android Auto? What is your phone manufacturer and what version of Android are you running? One of the issues with Android is that there are several versions of Android running on thousands of different hardware. You're almost guaranteed to have inconsistent/undesired experiences with some devices. Usually it's the tertiary/periphery manufacturers running an old version of AA though.

The AAwirless dongle works no issues, calls texts, etc.
The app version i gave you was on my phone.
I am at the current software level.
Phone is a Nokia 400 5G.
So I make a call I get a screen that says it "Cant Connect".
Then sometimes 10 to 15 seconds after makes the call and connects.
Or if it doesn't.
On the same screen it says "Retry" or "Cancel"
It hit "Retry"
If it doesn't connect after several attempts a screen comes up and says "Fix It"
It's kinda tough to take a picture of the screen when your driving.
So that's one problem.
The other problem is make a call to someone.
Comes back with "I have multiple #'s for, etc"
Both numbers are the same.
I checked my contacts and there is only one # for that person.
Where is it getting the other # from?

The AAwirless dongle and Android Auto work great but cant see Serius or Climate Control.

From what you're describing, it sounds like the issues have to do with your phone and AA and not Sync. To access Climate and Sirius radio, you need to press the "Ford" icon on your AA screen or the "Home" button on the steering wheel. That should take you back to Sync.

Pressing Home on the steering wheel or center screen (can also use the "2 gears" settings menu) is also how you get out of Apple Car Play to work the heater or change media. That's a Sync 3 thing. I believe Sync 4 keeps all the function buttons at the bottom of the screen visible

As a long time Android user I can tell you that the two contact lists are your "Google Contacts" as well as a Contact list that is kept on the Phone - it is not Yahoo. When you set up your Android devices you will notice there is a step that asks whether you'd like to maintain two lists or use only your Google list. I believe if you change this option to be "Google list only" you will stop seeing the duplicate numbers. I am presuming that when you set up your device you selected the option to duplicate the contacts list to your phone.

I thought there were 2, Google and phone but I can only find Google and can't find the phone one. I thought it was only using the Google only.

I understand now, my mistake. I am still leaning toward your phone device being the issue over Sync. Your issue is not typical or one that I've heard. Not that this helps you. I would suggest locating your Sync version (it should be 3.4.xxxxx) and consider updating if it's out of date. The most recent version is 3.4.23188, though some have noted some issues with it here so I'm still sticking with my reliable 3.4.22200.

Yeah I'd also recommend that you just keep the phone plugged in and use the home button on the steering wheel to access climate control and Sirius. If you need Android Auto back - you'll notice there is a new icon added to the bottom Sync3 menu that says "Android Auto" and you can tap that to get back-and-forth between the two. It sounds like a pain but it also sounds like much less of a pain than jumping back and forth between AA and Bluetooth.
