SYNC 3 - How Do I Receive/Send Text Messages

i have a Lariat and have linked my iPhone 6+ via Bluetooth but I’m not receiving text messages. What could be the problem?

You need to plug in with CarPlay to send/receive text messages.

Go into settings on your iPhone, then Bluetooth, then tap the “i” with the circle around it next to Ford Ranger. Then turn on “Show Notifications.”

You’ll have to restart your Ranger before it works.
