Hey folks!

First post! Got the Ranger a few months back and just getting started pretty slowly.

So I have been looking around at LED lights for the Ranger and have run into the same problem everyone else has at some point in their build. Where the heck do you put the switches? I know, get the Lightforce panel, but I'm cheap and have a 3d printer...

So out came the calipers and Fusion360 and I have mocked up a first attempt at a printed panel to go in the same place. So here is V1 of my 4 gang lighting bracket. It's running on the printer now so we shall see if the measurements are close enough to work. Then I'll start on more of the "details"

I couldn't find where anyone had actually posted one they had made so I thought I would.

Let me know what you think!

Very cool idea. I'm sure you'll have some members interested should you decide to sell these.

I guess that depends on the final product. Let's see how many iterations until it is complete.

Thoughts on just the face plate vs adding a shelf underneath to keep the wiring tidy and out of the way?

Update!

Went through a good many versions yesterday and finally have it pretty snug with no hardware. No tools, no screw holes, still secure!

Built a tray on the underside for wire management and included some venting for the defroster underneath there.

Still needs some trimming to be a bit more flush in places, but pretty pleased.

Had to order some new black plastic so we are stuck with blue for now.

Looking good. The blue would look good in a lightning blue truck

if you don't want the blue 1 I'll take it. Looks great!
Still doesn't quite fit right, as soon as you open the 12v ports it pops loose, probably a mm or 2 too thick around the sockets. working on one with a notch cut out for the hinge and about half as thick. About a 5 hour print so I'll be able to test it this afternoon.

Probably once it's done. Still not ready yet.

Probably going to start selling the prints afterwards.

No joke! There's plenty of options on the color front, but I'll likely go with black for my truck just so it blends in.
