I use to build my own gaming desktops, but I've been out of the game a long long time and my knowledge on laptops is pretty much nill.

I just want something I can keep in my camper and plays things like Blizzard style games (ie; HoTS, Diablo 4, etc etc). Pretty much don't need ultra shaders and 4K gaming is my point.

Im assuming solid state (drive or N2 style) drives and decent processors are somewhat standard, but what I do not know about are the graphics card portions of it all.

Is something under $500 doable this day and age? Like I said don't need ultra settings, but don't want low settings either in games.

I bought my grandson an Acer Nitro gaming computer a couple of years ago. I don’t remember exactly but it was around $800. I added more ram and storage to it & it’s worked out great for him.

I recently bought a couple of those mini Beelink micro computers that are rated for gaming at about $400. Ryzen 7, amd graphics, 1 tb ssd, 32 gb memory, 3 video outs, and bracket to mount on the back of a small monitor. Half the price of a gaming laptop and will plug right into a small TV. They get laggy running over 60 hz 4k though. All the laptops in that price range were junk and not expandable with slow older processors. If you went with the jackery they have low power consumption.

Your wish does not exist lol. Shop used market for any 10th gen or newer intel processor with dedicated graphics. Could probably snag 1080p at that price too.

Is something under $500 doable this day and age? Honestly, it will be difficult to spend $500 and still comfortably play modern projects like Diablo 4 or HoTS, because new laptops with a normal video card (like GTX 1650 and above) usually start at a higher price. I have a laptop for $500 and I mainly work on it or play browser games or read about them on https://icasinoreviews.co.nz/villento-casino/ where the review with the deposit is clearly described. If you want a laptop at a good price and for games, then get a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 for $600-700. I gave one to my brother and I have no complaints about this device. Like I said don't need ultra settings, but don't want low settings either in games.
Lenovo Legion or Dell G5 with GTX 1050/1650 - they easily handle games at medium settings in 1080p.
