The arm rest likes to get stuck randomly. What I found to work is when pulling on the pull tab, it has like a latch system that has to catch just right. So if I pull mine and move at the same time it usually folds back up just fine. Its annoying for sure though. I just keep mine up

I tried every which way to un latch it with no luck before the pull tab came off. It’s just gonna stay up now. Lol.

oh damn haha I guess that makes it harder. Try folding the seat back forward, then try bringing arm rest down, and then fold seat back up. It may not help either but with our subwoofer box installed behind the seat we struggle with that back seat folding and the latch is incorporated to that latch system internally. So it seems if one gives issues the other does too and vice versa.

Thanks for the advice. If I can get it down and fixed I’m sure you will get a thank you from my 9 year old daughter. Lol.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Pull on the strap that you broke while pushing in on the armrest.
THIS, I find that if I pull the tab with my index finger while pushing on the armrest with my thumb and Anglo Saxon Salute finger it will open without issue.

the latch is designed wrong. you need to push the arm rest back a 1/16th of an inch. while pulling on the tab. to provide enough clearance for the pull tab to unlatch the mechanism. The more you pull on the tab itself does nothing. as that is pulling the latch tighter.

If i get ambitious I will mark the latches see what is rubbing and file that section down.

Also may i recommend some relaxation? it seems like your stressed. if you can't force something try another angle.

now that it is torn you my have to be a bit more issues to get it to release.
