Has anyone had an issue with a rubbing or scraping noise coming from behind the steering wheel? I bought a new to me 2020 Lariat earlier this year and after a couple of months I noticed an intermittent rubbing sound coming from the steering column that has gotten worse over time. It got to the point that this weekend I popped the airbag out to see if I could identify where the noise was coming from. But all I could tell was that it was behind the steering wheel, in the steering column assembly. Before I go completely removing the steering wheel I figured I'd check and see if anyone else has dealt with this?

Also, for anyone who has taken off the steering wheel, do you recall what size that torx bolt head is??

I would try to remove the plastic panels around the steering wheel column if possible before I'd remove the steering wheel itself. Tried that already?

Not a bad idea. Probably won't dive back into it until this weekend but that sounds like a better starting point. I was nervous enough taking the airbag off so if I can avoid taking off the steering wheel that would be a plus!
