Glad they are taking some kind of action. Let us know the end result.

You kinda of get used to RP. He grows on you, lol. Really though, he's a decent guy.
Thank you sir. Got no time for arrogance. Enough bullshit in the world no need for it on an auto forum

If it wasn't for the ignore/block feature, I would have abandoned the forum. I avoid most social media for the same reason.

A joke is one thing in a stupid/off topic thread. Being a jerk to someone trying to solve a problem is another.

That said. Glad Ford took you seriously. I thought I had my issue sorted (this time the failed fix is on me) and it came back today. Awesome.... Third trip to the dealership coming up.

Hi Jim,

I have sat on the sidelines on this problem as I do not really understand the issue. That said, I value your concern and implore you to take it to the dealer and in your case, another dealer. It becomes very difficult to envision your malady base on your description and we have encountered this from customers as our decoder rings do not jive... That is why the answer is to take it to the dealer and if they fail, the find another dealer...Something is going on here and "it is normal behavior is not the correct answer...

Will be interesting on what is found out...

Best,
Phil

Thank you for your reply. what is happening is that there is excessive play in steering wheel in multiple directions . service writer brought out a tech who basically stated it is normal. upon further investigation looking at other units they noticed they had a problem. apparently they called ford and ford stated due due possible safety issue replace column. this vehicle has 8,000 miles on it and is a little concerning that i have this issue. As a vehicle inspector i get it these situations keep me in business. My hope is that new instillations is done properly and further issues down line don't arise. thank you for your reply.

So you mean to tell me you are a vehicle inspector and you have the kind of poor communication skills displayed here!?!? Jesus

But hey, glad you are getting fixed up and you didn't let a $3 bearing going bad in your steering column cause you to swear off Ford Motor Co...oh wait..nevermind..

Update from dealer. They compared my unit to a 20 ranger and 19. excessive play was only found in my unit. the result is they are replacing entire steering column as per ford due to safety issue. Btw my build date on vin is 12/21.. stay safe
Bad joke incoming:
There are blue pills for that!..

Sorry, but its good to here that a problem was verified and will be fixed. Did they give an estimate on time of repair? Hopefully they don't want to keep it for several weeks waiting on parts and time as we have seen with other owners.
