Hey all,

I noticed I am getting some squeak from my front suspension. For reference, truck rides on ICON 2.5 coilovers leveled to two inches with stock UCA's. I am unsure if the squeak is coming from the ball joints themselves - I am at around 27k miles and got the suspension installed around 8k miles. I'm not noticing any issues driving, uneven tire wear, or anything along those lines.

Any insight as to where this squeak could be coming from is appreciated.

Thanks!

Until someone takes a close look at it who really knows. With that said it is possible the ICON suspension could be the most likely cause. I say this because many aftermarket suspension parts can do this.

Best course of action, take it to a local shop you trust even if it means the dealership

Could be the strut bushings, swaybar bushings or ball joints but it’s way too soon for ball joints. Check it all but start with the parts you changed out.

I've had various squeaks and things over the years on just about everything I've ever owned.
Get a can of Fluid film, climb under there and shoot a bit everywhere metal touches metal, and all bushings Apollo mentioned above.
If it's doing it while driving it'll be hard to find it on a hoist pulling up and down on things.

Maybe start by making sure everthing is torqued to spec.

If there are items that are loose, consider changing out those nuts for new or add locktite.

I did not lol. It’s kind of intermittent though. Apparently it’s a slightly corroded heim joint on my front suspension. I’ll probably just replace it at some point but was told it wasn’t an immediate need

Did you ever solve the squeek?
