if you dont have to fight with them to honor it :(
yea I’ve read about dealers giving owners crap for trans repairs and or not being able to repair the problem. I guess for me, I would just repair and then sell the truck, move on to a different truck.
I’ve read a lot of the new trucks all seem to have major issues of some kind or another, Toyota, Nissan, chevy, GMC

That is the biggest problem, what new mid-size truck or even half ton doesn't have an issue. I was upset when my well maintained engine had to get replaced at 50k miles, #4 rod bearing was toast. SUPER rare, don't worry about it. That led me down a path of what truck would I buy if I get a lemon engine installed, nothing I liked better than my '21.

Sadly, all the engineering tools we have and they are used to make trucks cheaper, not bullet proof.

Too much pushing by the EPA to raise gas mileage forced manufacturers to lighten everything from engines to suspension, to body and interior components (like AC air distribution), Add on a lightened 10 speed transmissions to keep the engine in a narrow rpm window, Auto Start Stop tech requiring regenerative charging, and an extra electric pump in the transmissions, and finally super thin lubricants that wear out drive train components (Transmissions, axles, and engines) prematurely.

All this off the top of my head... I'm sure they did much more.

Too much change too quickly leads to poor product design. Each change affects the system in subtle ways. Make 30-100 (or more) changes and you no longer have a good idea about what changes are causing what effects.

When the problems invariably present themselves to customers, engineering band-aids are applied. "Fingers in the dike!" It all works fine until the dam bursts.

Welcome Brian, I have a 2020 with no problems whatsoever. I really love my Ranger and I am sure you will too! Enjoy!
