Marcus,

Those tires give you better off-road performance, the exhaust gives a few horses, and the Fox setup improves off-road and handling performance. Not totally lacking in “performance” upgrades, but, yeah, missing the Roush tune and CAI that everyone expects. ?
You're 100% correct, the truck is way more capable than I expected, I attended a NORA offroad recovery class and was impressed how well it handled some terrain that normally I would off never tackled!

I’m not really sure why Ford doesn’t offer a Scab Lariat here.

Another Fun Fact: In Canada, the Ranger (all trim and cab configurations) is only available in 4x4 - no 2WD.
Ford of Canada doesn't like giving the buyers there choices. When the RS was released, you only got the RS2 package with the forged wheels and the winter wheel/tire package was not optional, it was standard.

Winter tire package standard in Canada? Sounds about right, even in June. ;) ?

Well, yeah. But the car came with both a set of summer wheels and tires, and a set of winter wheels and tires. So you just run the right ones for the season.

Hey all! Sorry to burst the discussion, but this truck that is being discussed is not a Shelby Ranger. It is just something someone has put together themselves. Good for them! It is no different than the Eleanor knock off Shelby that was popular a number of years ago and people spent a lot of money on that, that they probably won't see a return. Having that pedigree/Vin #/provenance is all important.

This is directly from a phone call I made a few minutes ago to the CEO of Shelby American. Full disclosure I once raced for Shelby American and owned a number of Shelbys too. So, Gary Patterson picked up my call.

Here is what he wanted to share with everyone here. No. A Shelby Ranger is not something they are currently doing or planning in the future. Gary did say that if they did move forward with one, it would only be in the European/Asia/Australia market. They are doing so well with the Ford F150 Raptor, that by the time people spent the money on a Shelby Ranger they would have been better off with the Shelby F150. Plus, the market for the F150, in the aforementioned markets is more than keeping them busy in Las Vegas.

Hope this helps the discussion.

I haven't seen it in a long time, but there used to be a Celica around here tricked out and painted orange with the BOSS striping.
I kinda liked the idea; though kinda corny.
I googled BOSS Celica and this is the only thing I found:
