At one point I thought yes, but after various posts about the hose being broken and the fan still works, it has been determined as long as you get it close to what the (OE) angle was.
All that hose does is provide support for the harness.
The main function of the sensor is pick up fan speed (feedback) to the PCM for PCM control, so no matter what rotational position the sensor is in, it still functions as intended as long as the sensor itself is stationary.
yep, agree. After staring at the piece while doing the fix myself a few months back, that was my conclusion. I got it as close to what it was that I could while allowing enough length in the hose for movement without allowing it to bend into other moving parts. Best that can be done, as far as I can find.

I ran silicone hose with soft copper tubing inserted to get the bends correct. I have ~1" of just silicone on each end to allow flex and minimize vibration. Secured with hose clamps. Been working fine the last 2 years and shows no signs of degrading.

I didnt get my bends exactly like yours, yours is just picture perfect but I got mine close enough started her up and all is well, while I was fixing that I decided to take the front end off and I added a cvf intercooler, hot and cold pipes as well and a go fast bits BOV now im no mechanic took me like 9 hours split on 2 days but all works great, I saw so many people who have installed the cv fab intercooler saying that you have to cut all this plastic bits off I sure didnt have to lol must be they didnt install it correctly ty mishimoto even though I didnt buy one thier guide was basically the same oh amd the cold pipe was a B in order for me to get it right had to have that side of the cooler completely unbolted hahah, most of my help has been this site you all rock and same with the site soon as this economy boost dies out it will be swapped with a cyote.....lol cheers everyone tha k you for your time and support!!!
