yep, agree. After staring at the piece while doing the fix myself a few months back, that was my conclusion. I got it as close to what it was that I could while allowing enough length in the hose for movement without allowing it to bend into other moving parts. Best that can be done, as far as I can find.At one point I thought yes, but after various posts about the hose being broken and the fan still works, it has been determined as long as you get it close to what the (OE) angle was.
All that hose does is provide support for the harness.
The main function of the sensor is pick up fan speed (feedback) to the PCM for PCM control, so no matter what rotational position the sensor is in, it still functions as intended as long as the sensor itself is stationary.
