The vinyl is Avery Supreme in Satin Black, available almost everywhere. I chose this vinyl because it is slightly heavier weight than similar 3M options for rock protection. It also tolerates more stretching into the contours of the rocker panel stamping.

The Avery Supreme alone should do better than the stock rocker treatment. I do plan on some off roading, so I will be adding some thicker vinyl (maybe 12mil) in vulnerable areas like the edge of the bed and bottom of rocker.

Nice work! I am not at all surprised by that quote, there is a ton of labor involved no matter which method you use. This project gave me a much better understanding of why professional wrappers get $thousands$ per job.
