Hey all.
I'm hoping to get some advice or tips with either removing or moving the bed 12V plug. I recently bought a swing out storage case.

The only problem is it can't be installed if the bed plug is installed.
I plan on removing the plug in the mean time and eventually moving it somewhere out of the way.
I just don't see myself using the plug anytime soon but definitely could use the extra space since interior storage is severely limited. I'm a new truck owner so my experience with this realm is pretty sparse.
Would anyone have any advice/tips on removing the plug? Or even getting it to a manageable state to where it does not protrude more than a quarter inch?
Following an original thread on installing the plug it seems like moving isn't a big deal especially if the wires are already setup for it. But I could use some advice on how to cover/patch the original hole in the bed.
