RC 2.5" leveling kit intall issues

When trying to install the strut back in with the spacer installed, the bottom strut mounts do not line up with the control arm. They are pretty far off. I was able to get the passenger side in using a pry bar to turn the strut a bit but was unable to do it on the driver side because it was so far off. Has anyone had to take the top hat off and spin it to make this fit? I have a RWD and I know that the kit is built for both rwd and 4wd. Pretty frustrating as most of the job is pretty easy I just cant get the bottom strut bolt holes to align with the control arm.

Any help is greatly appreicated.

I would try spinning the top part of the spacer. When I put my eibach kit on, I thought the top only went way.

Do you mean compress the spring and turn the tophat or just turning the whole assembly? Turning the whole assembly doesnt work it just gets worse.

I swore the strut housing unit is angled Or have to be aligned. I fought with mine as well and had to take it all back apart. Maybe I wasn’t holding my tongue right but it went together fine the second time.
