Do 2.5 leveling kit affect mpg's?

So everyone is commenting that they lost 1 or 2 mpg but what were you getting and what are you getting now? Average mpg's are going to very greatly across the board due to location, truck configuration and driving style! I'm in LA, drive 100 miles a day in stop and go freeway traffic and average 22.8 mpg. I'm on stock wheels and tires with a 2.5" level and 1.5" spacers. I can get 25 to 30 mpg with no traffic and keeping it under 65 but that's not a realistic daily possibility!

I average 20-21 every tank but I'm in western PA where there isn't a level patch of road longer than a quarter mile. Ranger is still stock but I put a level kit on my old Sport Trac and lost 1-2 mpg, combination of more wind resistance and more driveline drag from more angle on the front axles and CV's. The tires I put on weren't much bigger than stock, 245/65-17 to 245/70-17.
