What year was your ZR2? Right before I bought my Ranger I test drove a Colorado ZR2. I didn't think the seats were terrible but at the time I was driving a '16 Tacoma so anything was better than that. The one thing I didn't care for was the interior, it just seems old and dated. But once I test drove the Ranger it was a no brainer it was way nicer than the ZR2. But that's not to say I wouldn't give this new one a look over if I can find one on a dealers lot.Having come from a ZR2 to the Tremor, I can say I'm watching closely and would like to sit in one to see if they still have those hard seats. Otherwise, the ZR2 was of higher quality from the fit and finish perspective. If i could have put the Tremor seats in the ZR2, I would still be driving it.
It was a 2019. I agree the interior was dated, but the fit and finish of that interior was better than my Tremor. It also had fold flat rear seat, rear headrests that folded down. Seats felt like I was sitting on a thinly covered piece of plywood though and that aggravated my back issues on trips longer than 45 minutes or so.What year was your ZR2? I have a ‘21 XL With STX package. Though this is the bottom end of trims it definitely feels “cheap ish” inside. My mom drives a new Jeep and the interior is tenfold better. Heck my dads ‘15 Malibu is “higher end” inside than my Ranger. Where the Ranger excels is mpg, crazy power (especially with my tune). I love the steering, I added Fox 2.0 shocks and they’re wonderful. Off road it performs better than my 99 suburban with a 4” lift and 33s. Got my rig for $38k otd in November ‘21 at 2.49%. I’d have a hard time moving into something newer and “better” with todays interest rates. It was a 2019. I like the Tremor and am happy with it, but if I leverage my inner quality control self, Ford has some opportunities.
I get views with my Ranger, lots of them!if you watch it, he's just mad because he isn't making enough money off YouTube to afford it.
