The wheel/tire combo will change the ride quality more than the slight lift. Off-road tires on 20s will be much more rough than road tires on 18s.
Agreed. The rough ride generally comes from the large tires being 10 ply. I say it's like riding on rocks.

@j0shm1lls this has the Rough Country lift.

Nice! It looks like it requires removing the front crash bar and aero plastic to make the larger wheels fit, which is probably going to be every kit I'd imagine.

EDIT: I wish I could tell what size those tires were...

I installed the Rough country 2.5 level kit today. Mounted a set of of BFG AT KO2's, 265/70R17's on A set of Method 701's. Even with only a 265/70R17 tire and a 2.5 level, it still rubs on the bash/crash bars. Also, the Methods are 8.5" wide with a 0 offset. I am a little disappointed that this size tire still rub (it's a 31.6" tall tire) No problem, I will just remove the crash bars since it's just 2 bolts each. Well, there isn't enough clearance from the bumper for them to slide out. It appears, unless I am missing something, that the bumper will have to be removed or at least loosened enough to make room for the crash bars to slide out. Anybody else remove theirs yet that have any tips (besides cutting them)?

Pics once you have a minute:like: do you think the 265/70/17 would rub on a stock rim, with that same level?

No, I don't think there will be an issue with the stock rims. Part of my issue is the 0mm offset which pushes the wheels out about two inches or so. It was dark when I finished up so I only have a couple pics that were taken at night. I will get some better pics during the day (if it ever stops raining).

Here is what a Ranger looks like with a 2.5" Rough Country level kit on stock rims and tires.

How long did it take to install the leveling spacers?

Really nicely done. Rugged yet classy.
I'd be curious to see daylight pictures to include direct front and back views.

That's exactly what I want to do with mine on the White Platinum.

Great job!
