I’m not sure what those Disco Ducks are up to but they must be about 7’ tall if they’re towering over an F100 - that‘s why I wondered whether or not it might be an early Ranger rendering because of its scale.

The depiction is clearly a before PhotoShop mid-seventies mashup of elements. Probably a Firestone (Bridgestone Firestone?) ad copy. The tire lettering is prominently displayed, and both front & back wheels have the logos at top dead center, but the tailgate is devoid of the "FORD" stamping. No one is admiring the tires, or the truck for that matter.

Dave, don't tell Duke I ask this question, Otay........but didn't they have disco north of the border? I'd a drove that truck in a skinny minute back in the day of Donna Summers (hubba-hubba).

Hey Jim,

We always lag the U.S. a bit and yes, we had disco in Canada but we didn’t get it until the 90s. And when we did finally get it, it was just Céline Dion doing Anne Murray cover songs.

Anne Murray pretty much only did cover songs herself, at least on American top 40, that and usually "Anne Murray with... (insert pop artist of the day)."

Not a bad thing, her versions were often better than the originals or other peoples' covers.

Looks a bit like a Ford Courier pickup. I don't think they came in stepsides but there were companies that made fiberglass beds for minitrucks back in the day.
I'm old and remember stuff.

Couriers came with a fleetside bed with 3 or 4 tiedowns permanently attached to the bed lip. Even if that were an aftermarket bed, still not a Courier cab...the "scallop" running the length of the cab gives it away as an F series...Early model Courier had a raised peak running down the length of the cab and bed. Later models had a very small scallop, more like a groove.

What will people think of our trucks in 40 years? Fake bead lock bolts, colorful vinyl stickers in the tailgate lettering, tires way out past the fenders, enough lights to brighten the dark side of the moon, roof top coffins/tents, little red nostril accents...
Fads come and go. This old F100 had it's time and our trucks have theirs.
In my opinion, you should try to build something that will look as good today as it does tomorrow. Jumping too deep into the latest trend tends to go out of style too quickly and leave you're truck looking like yesterday's leftovers. Keep it simple, purposeful, clean, and classy.
