I have 3 new tesla style head units IN MY HOUSE - that i have tested and the only thing i have not got to work is the backup camera. They come with the pigtail that allows you to attach an aftermarket.

@AZ_Stryd3r Please explain which Ranger models this is targeted for and/or which ones it will work with. I have a 2019 Lariat with most of the bells and whistles on it (ie: the "large" screen).

It appears the new screen will cover all the manual controls (fan speed, temp. radio on/off/volume, etc.) and move them to the screen... IMO the manual, unlit, controls are bad enough to find (eyes off the road) and many say finding them is layers of screens is, perhaps, worse.

Concept wise, I like the big screen and frankly, the price is very reasonable.

Please advise.

The unit has all the bells and whistles built in. The only external items are the climate controls and is a head unit for whatever speakers you have. I installed tweeters, 2 x 12" subs, new door speakers, and a 1000w 5 channel amp.

Backup camera is not working is the only thing that I need to research and find the correct wires to connect.

*** I beleive it will work with all the controls the Lariat has, as well as the minilmist XL - there is a set of pins my XLT cloth seats does not use - i beleive that is the seat controls for heat/cooling/adj

**** The volume is still on the steering wheel. The climate is at the bottom and one tap brings the entire screen full of large readout controls - WAY bigger than the tiny controls on the stock bezzel. Once you know where the screen start button is, you do not need to look -a glance and tap.

Concept wise, I like the big screen and frankly, the price is very reasonable.

**** The OnX maps are UGE - and google maps are finally readable for my old eyes. I would never watch a movie.. of course, but if you wanted to .. you could - with your sterio on full blast the body count in JW4 is astounding..

It comes with power for the little dumb screen as well as the plugs for the fancy.

I would love to see if it updates an XL.. All it needs is power and speakers - the rest of the features are in the box - 4g, wifi, gps antennas,
