Whenever i accelerate, slow down, or turn.. the passenger seat makes a clicking noise. It seems any change of direction causes this, and is only noticeable with somebody in the chair.
There was a ford TSB about this. I took it in a while ago to get it fixed, they added the clamp and heater hose. It went away a little and it seems to be back and even worse now.. It's driving me crazy!
Perhaps the clamp is loose, which i will check, but that didn't even really solve the issue in the first place. Just made it a little more quiet.
Anyone have this issue before? or perhaps has some sort of working solution?

What TSB number is this? I can say that I had two passenger seat noises, when the seat was empty.

1. Plastic buckle tapping the seat. Fixed with some thin 3M double-sided body trim tape with black felt on one side. Cut a pattren to match, and a factory looking fix.

2. If the seat was all the way back, the buckle retainer(?) Was tapping the centre console. Fix was to just pull the retainer forward towards the dash. This allowed no room for it to tap off the console. The added felt which is there from the factory, seems to require a smaller gap to be effective. I have thought about adding a felt patch to the console, but moving it works.

Hey Frank.

I will check into those things, i mainly only notice it when someone is in the seat wearing the seatbelt though. maybe your 2nd one is possible it. However whenever a passenger is in the seat they say they can feel it kind of moving/shifting. It sounds similar to when the seat is moved, but not clicked into place.
The TSB i found was TSB 18-2361. loosening of the seat pan.

"vehicles may experience seat pan looseness, lateral movement, or a clunk/thump noise on turns. This may be due to the seat pan track."

The "fix" in the TSB bulletin didn't really help the problem though. Driving me crazy! lol

Are the XLT seats powered, with the Tremor package?
