I'm putting my experience out there for your feedback.
I ordered my truck Dec 1, 2021, and my order is STILL in processing.
(This post is long with lots of documentation. I know most of you aren't that interested, it's here for completeness)
12-1-2021 I ordered a Lariat Tremor with $2500 deposit. (I suspected I may have covid, called and ok'd dropping off a check and printout of build out the car window.)
12-15-2021 Visited Dealer to get a copy of paperwork for Truck, sales guy visited the sales manager and came back with a photocopy of my deposit receipt. I asked 3 separate times if there was additional paperwork, anything to sign etc. He said 'nope' and dismissed my request. I also asked to have the color changed to white.
12-28(ish)-2021 Dealer contacted me by phone that they forgot to get my signature on order..................
12-29-2021 Sign and get copy of paperwork
12-30-2021 Send Email confirming color is white as printout says black.
1-10-2022 I email asking why I have not received an Email from Ford
2/9/2022 Asked AGAIN why I have no Email from Ford
2/24/2022 I call Ford Customer Service. Explain all the above. Rep can't find my order and gives me a short list of info to request. So, I paid another visit to the dealer and was 'reassured' that this was 100% normal, and told stories about Super duties, Mavericks and Broncos. Be patient....
3/14/2022 Call ford Customer Service again.. Rep CANNOT find my order with info provided! We discussed that the model year was listed as 2021 and that I needed to talk to the dealer again...
3/15/2022 Visit dealer again, get new printout and told to continue to be patient, yada yada, this is normal and told stories about how it could be worse, some people are still waiting since June of last year etc. Provided printout after asking 3 times for it.
3/16/2022 Call Ford Customer service again, this time they find my order!!.... and tell me it is still in processing!
If you made it this far, you are amazing..
I dont know WTF is going on.
-Is there a legitimate excuse my order has been in Processing for over 4 months?
-Did the dealer error on submitting my order and is now covering for it?..
I'm about to cancel and get my money back and say screw it..
